Compression Springs
Helical springs, usually just called compression springs, offer resistance to a compressive force applied axially. To calculate for compression springs, certain requirements must be taken into account, such as location, force, environmental conditions, etc., while their mechanical characteristics are defined by means of the diameter variables of the spring and thread, type of material, etc.
The ends of all compression springs, may be open, closed and likewise either ground or unground, as required.
